My name is Conor Meehan, I have been a driving instructor for many years.
I was initially a garage proprietor in the West of Ireland – I have driven everything that moves and as a father of 3 sons, who I taught to drive, I have huge understanding and empathy for people starting out on their driving journey.
With my background in all area areas of driving along with my qualifications as an Appoved Driving Instructor, approved by the Road Safety Authority – I feel I am uniquely qualified to bring people, sympathetically and professionally from zero to driving competently.
My record as a driving instructor is exceptionally good, I have enjoyed spectacular success and happily seen many, many of my pupils pass their tests.
It’s for this exact reason that I do this job:
- I get immense secondary pleasure in seeing people succeed
- My car is fitted with duel controls and I teach people in a very structured and sequential way
- We move methodically through the syllabus, and I find that I treat and teach every pupil as if they were my own children
- I am hugely invested in their success
I tend to do two hour lessons as I believe it allows the pupil to actually drive more and at the end of the day — there is no substitute for being behind the wheel.
In most cases I offer a door to door service, and collect people at home and they then drive home.
